Commission done for MARSHMELLOW-MINNOW of his awesome bat wielding skunk boy with some rather fitting prose from the master himself-Dr, Seuss!!!!
Since the references I saw had a slightly japanese feel with the sandled feet and asian writing I went with the flow and added some seriously scary ONI in the background.
The manga grey tones in there are directly influenced from all the japanese manga I have read through the years.
Works like Matsume Shirows APPLE SEED and GHOST IN THE SHELL served as inspiration and lent to the heavy details,.....!!!!
So much fun to work on this!!!

Words cannot describe just how happy I am to see this done and awesome this turned out. Not only did you nail my sona, but your brought to life exactly what I had in mind; I can almost feel each line. I wasn't sure what ONI were until I looked them up and the idea of these abstract creatures having a real meaning behind them ties them with the poem really really well. And there my OC is standing in defiance of trouble of all kinds and ready to beat it back no matter what.
