Guardian Signs, right? Shame that they haven't been any more new Ranger games, but I definitely say that this is a great game, especially if you played the previous two. Especially with your Partner Pokemon being an Pichu with an custom "electric" ukulele. The moments when Pokemon go berserk adds an new layer to the "capture" process, since while it's hard to convey feelings alone, listening to Pichu's ukulele puts an smile on my face while it helps to calm down the aggressive Pokemon.
Group Target always made me feel so satisfied, as I get to properly explore the the area to look for the Pokemon I need, and see them work together to clear the problem. Playing the mini-games where I chase down my target in sky or sea helps to shake things up as well, without falling into an monotonous pattern of repetition.
My only complaint is that in order to capture certain Pokemon, you'd have to progress through the multiplayer levels to open "sealed" areas. Possible by yourself, but you'd have to get someone else to help you get through the time crunching higher levels. Thankfully, it's not necessary to clear the multiplayer levels to advance the story.
Without a stylus-based console, you'd need an new kind of capture device/system if you'd want Pokemon Ranger to continue, but it'd be great to see another one of these titles. While adding all of the new Pokemon since Heartgold/Soulsilver would be impossible, there has never been an overwhelming need to include every region's Pokemon in these games.
If you could have an new Ranger game, what kind of Partner Pokemon would you want? I'd love to have an Zorua with a talent for mimicking certain Pokemon assists, or maybe an Eevee that has an special accessory/tool that allows it to perform customisable, yet unique assists.
Heck, just seeing this makes me want to start playing again from scratch, and maybe see if I can finally get through those multiplayer levels by myself.
