Since the speed-paintings of this guy have been so incredibly popular, I thought I would give him a ref sheet in case I ever wanted to commission work of him. I couldn't think of a name, except for what I'd been saving his files as; 'ink cat.' Fitting enough, I think, for a creature born out of the blackest feelings a person can harbor in their heart-- despair, hate, rage, apathy, emptiness filled with nothing but this roiling, seething ugliness.

I'd had a concept of something similar, except that it was a viral slime that took the basic skeletal structure of a wolf, and added or exchanged bones to support its weight, all the while sharpening some in oder to make deeper wounds and speed infection.
Okay, not too similar, but the class of creatures it belonged to was called Pathozoa, which is a combination of the Greek for "suffering" (pathos) and "animal" (zoo-).

I hate to sound possessive, but I guess I would feel more comfortable if you didn't? I mean, there are certainly creatures like Ink out there, so it's not that he's a -totally- unique design, but there are lots and lots of ways to release your negative emotions through art than piggybacking on someone else's design. Try your hand at getting in touch with those emotions and seeing what comes out of your own mind-- you might be surprised what they 'look' like!
