Lyška and Robinson, The Newest Minutemen
At the All-Star Break, the Williamsburg Minutemen pulled off a trade that sent veterans Denny Veil (Moose, PF) and Liam Weems (Welsh Terrier, SG) and the 2011 second-round pick to the Kansas City Clefs. In return, the Clefs sent veterans Jakub Lyška (Red Fox, SG) and Walter Robinson (Hyena, C). The Minutemen hope that the two veterans will help them with their playoff push.
Lyška is 5'10" and 150 pounds on a good day. However, he holds an impressive FBA record: most threes in a playoff game. In Game 6 of the 2009 FBA Finals, he drained 10 treys to lead the Stanislaus Thrust to victory. Unfortunately, the Thrust went on to lose the final game to the Mayors. The red fox moved on to Kansas City with teammate and best friend Jack Howell (Wolf, PF) in an off-season trade.
Robinson, a 7'10", 340-pound tower of hyena, spent his entire career with the Clefs until the trade. His big frame allowed him to become one of the better rebounders in team history. Before he was traded to the Minutemen, Big Walt had moved to second place on the Clefs' career rebounds list.
