She reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger. I'd see logical connections and say or do things based on that, and then wonder why everyone else was looking at me strangely. Why didn't they see the logic too?
...that's still how I work, actually, just to a much lesser degree since I've learned to explain things and/or keep quiet, as appropriate. But yeah, I suppose it says something that in Swarm of the Century, I knew Pinkie Pie's instrument-collecting would be instrumental to saving the day right from the start, since she'd been the only one who knew what the Parasprites were.

Exactly--honesty doesn't always mean truth, just as a lie doesn't always mean falsehood--there's an entire set of logic problems based on sets of people who a) believe only true statements and never lie, b) believe only true statements and always lie, c) believe only false statements and never lie, or d) believe only false statements and always lie.
Exactly! I think the setup was the puzzle author making a trip to Transylvania, where the humans always tell the truth and the vampires always lie, while sane people believe true statements and insane people believe false statements. So you can trust what a sane human or an insane vampire says, but the opposite of what an insane human or a sane vampire says. Be careful of asking them what they believe, though--a sane vampire will lie about what they believe, but end up affirming a truth by lying about their disbelief of it.
Then the author attends a party thrown by Elite Transylvanians, which don't even say "Yes" or "No", but rather say "Ba" or "Dal", each of which means either "yes" or "no", but each Transylvanian picks which is which individually. The final puzzle in the game is to figure out a unifying question, one where if you ask any elite Transylvanian, "Is the truth-value of X equivalent to S?" where S is the unifying statement and X is the statement you wish to test. I forget what it was exactly, but it involved "Ba"/"Dal" and belief in ways that ended up giving you a useful answer regardless of sanity, vampirism, or word preference.
