When I checked for screenshots to snag AJ's colors, I happy-faced when I saw that the backgrounds were lineless. I always build backgrounds out of blobs of colors, so seeing it was actually appropriate? Made my day.

I mean, if there was a contest between Ivan and a five year old girl about who likes My Little Pony the most, Ivan would walk away with the trophy. And a figurine of Princess Celestia. Although he let me keep Celestia and took Twilight Sparkle and Spike instead.
BUT HE GAVE ME APPLEJACK SO IT IS ALL GOOD.

Oh my god, this is really freakin' cute! SHE LOOKS SO UNAMUSED, I wonder what she's thinking about? Hahah. Also, regarding your comment above, it's not exactly in the style of the show, but I actually like that; it's a good hybrid between your style and Lauren's.
And buh, I love Apple Jack. She's definitely my fav. I want to draw her but whenever I do non-pony style it turns out CREEPY AS SIN.

At first, I wasn't too fond of Rarity because of the sleepover episode. I just related to Apple Jack all too much, and I've know super prissy girls like Rarity who bothered me about my lack of femininity. HOWEVER, after "Suited for Success" and "Green Isn't Your Color" she really, really grew on me.
I'll give it another try eventually. Gotta find the happy medium between my style and pony art.

Rarity hasn't grown on me yet. She does have her redeeming qualities, but at the same time, it's just like... I don't know. She reminds me of quite a few people that irritate me IRL. All congregated together into one well-meaning but unbearably prissy package.

YES, THE LINELESS BACKGROUNDS ARE AMAZING. And are actually teaching me some things about backgrounds, somehow.
I CAN TELL IT WAS YOU WHO DREW IT, TOO, but that's fine. Whenever I draw pony art, there's always something that would tip me off that I drew it (besides the fact I'd, uh, remember drawing it).
