In Iceland, no Father Whipper nor Krampus. It's a gigantic ogress named Gryla who memorizes during the year from a distance all the naughtiness done by children then when Christmas comes goes down from her cave where she lives in the mountains to snatch away the naughty children in her sack and bring them home where her lazy husband (3rd marriage in fact), their 13 sons the Yule Lads who cause everyday troubles (she had other children from her former marriages but tradition doesn't say more about them) and their cat live to cook them and eat them together. You have to know she scared Icelanders so much there straight up was a decree in 18th century to forbid her !
