This is Grant the short-tailed shrew, who's friends with Cosette and Devlin. He's 3'6", but vampire superstrength means he isn't just strong for his size, he's strong fullstop.
He's also venomous, like real short-tailed shrews, and becoming a vampire boosted the potency of his venom so it can paralyse even people much larger than him. Also like real short-tailed shrews, he's nearly blind and can only see light/dark rather than details, but his other senses are strong enough that he doesn't need to.
