Hailing from the Kalos region, Zola was a renowned researcher of Mega Evolution alongside her husband. While her husband often stayed indoors doing lab research, Zola was known to be a very sturdy and experienced traveler as well, going to distant regions such as Hoenn, Galar, and Alola in particular. One should not be fooled by her looks, however, for Zola is a very capable fighter as well, and she is not afraid to be hands-on and get her hands dirty in either research or self-defense.

Shortly into her marriage with her husband, Zola went on to have two children- both daughters. They too quickly took up the family heritage and duty of being expert researchers, or at least growing into being as such. One of her daughters in particular, Nyansa, would also study mega evolution just like her mother. The elder daughter, Zharava, would later move out of the Kalos region and settle all the way in Paldea, making contact with a few important individuals and studying the Tera crystals there.

Unfortunately, when her daughters were young women and barely into adulthood, Zola's husband would contract a sickness and pass away, and is one of the reasons Zharava moved out of the Kalos region to begin with. Distraught by the loss of her beloved, Zola would travel to Alola one last time to finish her side research and interest of Z-Crystals in the region. Unfortunately, this trip to Alola would end up being her last, for she seemingly vanished shortly upon arrival on Poni Island, leaving no traces or evidence of her existence. What happened to her? Only one individual knows....but getting him to willingly talk may be virtually impossible...

Additional Facts:
-In addition to taking a slight interest in Z-Crystals, Zola also wondered about the strange beings classified as 'Ultra Beasts'.
-When she vanished and her husband passed away, Zharava was meant to inherit the laboratory in Lumiose City. However Zharava was settled into Paldea prior to Zola's disappearance, so Nyansa inherited the laboratory instead.
-Zola shows no fear in battle should it be necessary, and has been known to stand up to dragons much more massive than herself even with the lack of a fairy-type move.
