I've been kicking myself for not finishing this sooner. Since i've rediscovered how much I love Mountain Lions, I had to.
I am Therian, A Mountain Lion.
Thrasher has always been a Puma, but his own species of Puma, which is a 'Harshlandic Mountain Lion' ~
It just means there are slight evolutions and traits not seen in more natural Pumas.
You might notice when I draw Thrasher usually, his jaws are BIG like an African Lion or Tiger, more crushing strength and ability to fight better, hunt better. The wings? Dragonblood, an evolution SOME Harshlanders develop. (Thrasher has Fire Lung, Fire Control, Wings and Leather-like scales under the fur, and Broader tail than most.) His eye changed changed due to succumbing to Vampier Disease, meaning his fangs became elongated and can extend to feed like a Vampire and cause almost fatal bites. Due to his fire lung, there can be a build up of 'lava' like fluid, which he can spit at enemies to incapacitate them. His paws are dextrous, like a poly cat with thumbs. So he can use tools like most humans. The werewolf side of him, which is usually kept in control, helps him communicate with wolfkind in the Harshlands, both Werebeast and Wolf alike and seen like a brother of most packs. He can howl like a cougar scream mixed with a broad, deep gutteral wolf howl.
All in all, the Harshlandic species of Puma, or lion, or even any species from those lands have become tougher and tougher.
But, at the end of the day, he's a puma. So I wanted to play with how he'd look au natural. Haha.
Inspired by a photo I once saw of a Puma 'frowning' at the camera and i've never found it since. XD
I love being a grumpy lil poom.
