Peace Among Men of Good Will (Personal - Fan Art)
"What even a few hours ago I would have considered truly crazy, I could now see with my own eyes.
Bavarians, Gauls, and English, until then the bitterest enemies, shaking hands, singing together, and exchanging gifts.
Furthermore, a lone star was the only one that illuminated the sky directly above all of us, so many interpreted that as a special sign.
And more men joined in, until all the entire lines ended up greeting each other."

This is a drawing I made of my characters Derek, Kevin, and Jean, who are characterized as soldiers from World War I, mostly from the German (Derek), English (Kevin), and French (Jean) sides.
Where on December 25, 1914, both allies and enemies decided to stop fire their weapons, and have a temporary truce to celebrate Christmas Eve.
Honestly, for some time I had heard about this incredible and beautiful story, about how men of different nationalities, ethnicities, and creeds shared together in one night as if they had known each other all their lives, being the greatest example of kindness and camaraderie ever seen. in times of war (Which should be repeated today with the conflicts that are occurring today. And I hope the rulers of the countries fighting said conflicts decide to reach a definitive peace agreement).
On the other hand, I did not want to miss the opportunity to recreate this mythical event in history with my characters xD

"Lo que aun hace algunas horas hubiera considerado una verdadera locura, ahora podia verlo con mis propios ojos.
Bávaros, Galos, e ingleses, hasta entonces los mas acérrimos enemigos, estrechando las manos, cantando juntos, e intercambiando regalos.
Ademas, una estrella solitaria era la unica que iluminaba el cielo directamente sobre todos nosotros, por lo cual muchos interpretaron aquello como una señal especial.
Y mas hombres se unieron, hasta que todas las lineas enteras terminaron saludandose unos con los otros."

Este es un dibujo que hice de mis personajes Derek, Kevin, y Jean, quienes están caracterizados como soldados de la Primera Guerra Mundial, mas que todo de los bandos Aleman (Derek), Ingles (Kevin), y Frances (Jean).
En donde el dia 25 de Diciembre del año 1914, tanto aliados como enemigos decidieron detener el fuego de sus armas, y tener una tregua temporal para celebrar la Noche Buena.
Sinceramente, desde hace un tiempo habia escuchado de esta increible y bonita historia, sobre como hombres de diferentes nacionalidades, etnias, y credos compartieron juntos en una noche como si se conocieran de toda la vida, siendo la mayor muestra de bondad y camaradería jamas vista en tiempos de guerra (Cosa que deberia repetirse actualmente con los conflictos que estan ocurriendo hoy en dia. Y ojala los gobernantes de los paises que libran dichos conflictos, decidan llegar a un acuerdo de paz definitivo).
Por otra parte, no queria dejar pasar la oportunidad de recrear este mítico suceso de la historia con mis personajes xD

Yes, I also think the same about how empty and cold Christmas has become these days, only regardless of how much money you have in your wallet or what expensive things you bought on sale.
That is why I have always liked works like "A Chrismas Carol" and "The Grinch", because of the incredible messages of reflection on how we should focus more on sharing with others instead of focusing on appearances and material possessions :)
