I have a similar thing going on in the wrist. Right under the palm another nail/ bone juts out in a configuration that gives it the appearance of a sixth finger. It's my answer to the joint spikes/ w/e from absol's original design. I just thought it was a neat thing to do.
Well, the way I see it, the random spikes on the back of the legs are akin to the strange psuedo-toes you tend to find quite high up on some dogs legs - it's a toe that is of no use to them and therefore has sorta regressed over time - except obviously, Absol's has become more useful =)
Very Nice! I like what you did with the tail and the armor. The heels of the feet are also interesting, because most artists would (or at least in MY opinion would) just draw them flat, but you added an extra...uh...talon (?) to the back, giving the impression that he/she is wearing high heels. Very nice piece! :D
