Introducing my male fursona (the small pit)! I still do not have a name for him yet, so if anyone has an idea then that would be great. In this piece he is just a pup. Tank is his father/guide.

"You'll Be In My Heart"
Come stop your crying
It will be all right
Just take my hand Hold it tight
I will protect you
from all around you
I will be here
Don't you cry
For one so small,
you seem so strong
My arms will hold you,
keep you safe and warm
This bond between us
Can't be broken
I will be here
Don't you cry
'Cause you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart, always
Why can't they understand
the way we feel
They just don't trust
what they can't explain
I know we're different but,
deep inside us
We're not that different at all
And you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
Don't listen to them
'Cause what do they know
We need each other,
to have, to hold
They'll see in time
I know
When destiny calls you
You must be strong
I may not be with you
But you've got to hold on
They'll see in time
I know
We'll show them together
'Cause you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on,
Now and forever more
Oh, you'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be in my heart, always
Always

Yes actually! I had a tough time deciding what fur pattern I should use on him, but I think this is the cutest (even though you see it EVERYWHERE). I still need to figure out what to name him. He has the personalities of Tyler Durdend from Fightclub and Maynard from Tool. Mostly Maynard. LOL
And awwww yea Tank does look like him. Funny thing, I was the creator of Tank, and she/he was blue the first time I made the character for Blazeblast.

I prefer cropped ears because I am an evil and irresponsible human. *sarcasm*
I think these are what my ideal Pit looks like http://www.bebo.com/c/photos/view?MemberId=6411891190&PhotoNbr=1&PhotoAlbumId=8032019519#photoId=8039417630 http://americanpitbull.biz/wp-conte.....errier_sm2.jpg

I do not mind cropped ears, since I like them on dobermans and great danes. As long as the owner is responsible and does not try to crop them themselves, then whatever. I don't think the dog cares either way if the ears are cropped or not as long as they can hear lol.
I LOVE the red and white one. I love all pitties. hehe

I think the cropped ears have so much benefits over the natural ones. Firstly they are easier to clean and the dog is less likely to get ear infections. Depending on the cropping style (how long they have left the ears) the dog is also able to use his ears easier for communication than the dog with heavier natural ears. The changes in ear positions, tilts etc are easier to notice on dogs with pointy ears. The cropping is also a great way to show respect for their past.
I dont like tail docking because I dont like the appearance of a docked dog (how come a docked Doberman is supposed to look more scary when it has a bunny tail?) and it makes communication with other dogs harder, and I dont see much benefits from taking the tail away anyway.
personally i would never crop or dock because i prefer a natural look, and i dont like cosmetic surgeries that have little to no health benefit. ears were cropped for various reasons once upon a time. nowadays there is no reason a fat pit bull shouldnt have floppy ears lazing about on the couch. i feel like all the work that goes into cropping and bandaging/posting the ears just to get them to stand up is a little ridiculous, especially because you have to do it when theyre puppies and puppies just want to roll around and have fun. my dumb pittie has no problems communicating with her dumb pittie floppy ears. thats why they have muscles there.
i dont frown upon people who crop (as long as its done correctly as rouge said) i just have seen too many botched jobs for a useless surgery. i feel like if they want a cropped look they should work on breeding it in, instead of lopping the dogs ears off when hes just a pup.
on the other hand, i love the look of a cropped pit and would not think twice about adopting one.

The idea that cropped ears are easier to clean is a misnomer - I've come across plenty of cropped and naturally erect-eared dogs that have terrible ears (I work at a vet's,).
Cropped ears are actually less expressive than ears that have been kept natural, as the cropping procedure removes cartilage and the ears often have to be taped up for weeks-months in order for them to stand on their own. Most pit bulls used for fighting actually weren't cropped - if you look up pedigrees on certain game-dog oriented websites, most have natural ears.
Due to the nature of the procedure, there are plenty of risk. Scarring and deformity of the ears, for one. Two, the dog has to remain under anesthesia for quite some time as the vet performs the surgery; a big risk for any dog, even a young pup. There have been puppies that have died under anesthesia during crop procedures due to its length of duration.
Give me a natural eared dog over a crop, any day.

Btw this has nothing to do with the art but I dun understand why peeps diss Phil Collins. Sure his voice is a bit annoying but he has some really great songs like Another Day In Paradise and Sussudio (this song is fuckin rad, I used to listen to it all the time with one friend when we were drinking) when he was in Genesis
