So, last year, I started working on this concept of "If I were approached to revamp Zoobilee Zoo as a cartoon, how would I design them?" I started with Whazzat, thinking she'd be the easiest... except, since I was also figuring out the general art style for the whole cast on top of figuring out her own look, she wound up with the most pages of scratch paper and rejected designs. Once I got her figured out, though, the rest were relatively easy.
The biggest change was mainly to her top, which I switched from a teal blue bib-like top to a baby blue ballet top and skirt to match her slippers, which I also changed to a matching blue for cohesiveness and to stand out against her pink fur. Also, while her snout is still rather short, I thought a bigger heart-shaped nose, along with taller ears, would help read more "kangaroo" and less "cat."
These have been sitting in my files for ages, and I've still only posted them on my Twitter and Tumblr. Even if no one looks at these, there's no harm in showing them off on more accounts.
