I hope you like Belchior.

ID: Flatcolors drawing of a fat anthropomorphic dumbo pet rat, fur colored lilac and white, wearing a orange shirt, green shorts, and eyeglasses. She is walking casually, paws in pockets, smiling with an unaware expression, listening music with headphones. Over her, there are some musical notes and the verse in Portuguese: "I'm only a Latin American guy". Offwhite background. End ID.

Always a joy to see your rat self prowling about!
From what I've read, Belchior had a very troubled life and mysterious period of absence from the public life.
His songs are very soulful, relatable and perfect for chilling!
This song in particular reminded me of this slow and mild rap song by Queen Latifah, also detailing the experience of getting by in the city, when you're out of the race for the biggest house, car or bank account.

Yeah, that time Belchior disappeared was weird, I remember that O.O
I'm not a huge Belchior nerd, but some of his songs have a special place in my heart!
And your comparison was fantastic! The similarities are not very evident to me in a first hearing because voices and part of arrange are dissimilar, but the cadence of the singing is the from the same family yeah!

It is very dissimilar in many ways, yeah, and sorry for misleading you somewhat -- I mostly thought the music video concept and lyrics are close to each other, with two people strolling through their hoods and celebrating being alive.
Just like your pear-lilac rat is strolling and celebrating in this portrait!

I played (in a ludic sense) with keyboards and pianos, but nothing serious, just know a bit where to find the notes and stuff. That's why she is, yeah, with the small piano here! Or maybe you are talking about Neil and the tunes?
And you, do you play any instrument?
And you, do you play any instrument?
Oh, sorry -- my memory must have mashed the two together!
I was primarily thinking about the Neil picture, I realize now.
I have played around (in the same sense) with a guitar back in my "wannabe rockstar kid" days, but have since let go of the practice, regrettably. At some point, a beginner musician needs to stop trying to impress their friends, and start learning advanced theory and techniques, and I couldn't get myself to do any of that.
But those were the good days, and I remember my first flailing attempts at twanging strings fondly!

Hey, your guitars in that Mamonas Assassinos picture were pretty decent!
You just need to get the basic shape down, and you're good!
Just learned about that plane crash, a horrible and unexpected thing...
That changes the way your tribute to them feels -- it's a very significant thing to bring them back to the public memory.
Thank you for keeping their wild legacy alive!

About the guitars, thank you!
And yeah, the accident was horrible to a point that it's hard to me to talk about it in lenght (so I will not), especially in English (because I processed the trauma in Portuguese).
And well they were not ever completely out of public memory ever, I rediscovered there is still a very dedicated fandom, musical events at the graveyard that their families enjoy (a student of mine was casually at one of these because a relative is buried in the same cemetery), from time to time things happen in Brazil and people "lol, just like that song!", and sorta.

Sorry -- I won't bring it up again. But your tribute to them is still very admirable and important!
You have made quite a bunch of people check out that band, at least in your group!
Caught one of your streams the other day, and really liked the atmosphere!
I'm used to silent streams, with all the conversations going on in the chat, but you talk about a lot of things,
and actively engage with the audience, voicing their questions, too, which is rare and cool!
