I almost wish there was a bg, like... A volcano? Or... Something like that.
The background is very well chosen though, that's what made me think of the volcano example, but it could have been a forest fire too.

You've done a wonderful drawing!
Fun fact, the background actually IS a free to use volcano image I found, but the character obscures a lot of it and it is also blurred out quite a bit. I would probably incorporate more of the scenery if it were a higher quality piece, but it is a character focused sketch this time.
