their wings started getting smaller as I kept drawing them. as I wrote elsewhere, "still trying to decide on the form and function of the wings. big, fully functional soaring wings? little chicken wings, useful for fluttering up a tree or cliffside in a pinch (with help from the big springy tail)? completely useless itty bitty wings? no wings at all, like nerds?"
