This took longer than I anticipated it to be at around 3 to 4 weeks lol
What can I say, I was taking my time, both in the details and in the lazy!

This is fan art of the first boss of the arcade game Blazing Star! I actually played this one before one time at an arcade and got super excited when I saw SNK on the box
It blew me away, the art and the music were so good! It still confuses me sometimes if this game uses 3d models or not because the sprites are all so complex but the animations for them are smooth like butter! My favorite ship in the game is the Aryustailm, I wasnt just going off looks, it also has a giant laser for its charge attack >:v
Its actually what inspired the design for my fursonas ship, the blades at the front was exactly the kind of unique element I needed to make it stand out from my other designs!

I never got super far in the game, only ever getting to the third stage and not getting through to the end
I went home and looked up a long play and holy hell you can see the TAS kick in trying to dodge everything on the screen, it does not play nice XD
Kinda funny that they tried to make this game easier than the last one they made, pulstar. I guess easy means they let you actually beat the first stage

Really proud of this one! Actually got decent colors and tried some new perspectives and also got the energy of the scene mostly right!
I wish I was creative enough to be original with the colors instead of going off what was in the game, but hey, now I am color smarter.. maybe XD
You definitely need to take all the creative liberties you can with drawing other peoples designs because making sense of other peoples chaos is super hard if not impossible
Never try to draw them 100% accurate, my word of advice XD
