I like the look of indecipherable text on things. It evokes a powerful sense of mystery.
I also like the idea that despite all of this, they use the familiar Indo-Arabic numerals that most of the world is familiar with.
In real life, it's a bit mystical how so many cultures have adapted these numbers, and that we can still communicate in raw math when language fails us.
