Info on mockeries here

The result of a little thinking on different mockerie cultures.

The more wild mockeries of Pinesky, where Swan is from, likely are most comfortable alone and with loved ones in their natural states. True form, a whole bunch of beasts.

The mockeries of Starwick live much more like mimics and most were once human. Part of the culture of the mockeries in the city is that showing true form to someone else is considered a threat, asking for a fight. So with a combination of that, most Starwick mockeries are most comfortable in human shape or something close.

Swan, being born in Pinesky and trying very hard to shake any sign of their past over time while living in the royal courts in Starwick... is a weirdo. They want to shake their family's influence and culture but they really do feel more comfortable in true form, being quite proud of their pristine white feathers and long tail. Being in Starwick now, they really can't just lounge about like that though. So within private spaces where they are unlikely to be walked in on by non-mockeries, they take a form in between. A harpy of sorts.
