The cab driver hopped gracelessly out from Medley’s bust as the giantess struggled to stand upright atop newly-wheeled feet, “Uh, S-sorry! I’m still getting the hang of this, you know?”
"The hang of..." He adjusted his cap, flattening ruffled hair as he stared up at the towering tabby taxi, yellow metallic skin glinting in the sunlight. "Uh, s'alright miss but... ah, I am gonna be needing my cab back if you still want me to follow that car.”
Medley grasped a nearby streetlight to maintain her balance, “Oh, uh, sure thing! I’ll bring it right back soon as I’m done, there won’t be a scratch on it! Uh, probably.”
“After you’re–? Miss, please... uh... step out of my cab. Put it down? Stop... whatever this is!?”
Medley smiled nervously, “Superhero business, very important! I promise I’ll bring it back, though! I promise!”
She released her grip on the light and began to roll forward down the street, engines thrumming in her colossal thighs as the wheels spun on her feet. It was clumsy at first, she fell on her mechanical rear once and nearly toppled several more. Then, arms out wide, she gently pushed forward with one foot and glided on the other; she grabbed any and all nearby tall objects for balance as she slowly passed them, from power lines to the tops of phone booths.
"Hey, no!" The man waved his arms about, “Lady, you can’t do this!”
“Sorry, can’t hear you!” Medley's ears flattened as she zoomed down the street in hot pursuit.
Had this idea since the fusion power came up, so wanted to try giving it proper art, though it's not really my strong suit! Again, big thanks to Lulu for the flash fiction!
