You design a character but then what you really need to do is draw them a few dozen more times to really get the hang of it. Which is what I decided to do. Not the full expression sheet, gonna add more to it later on I'm sure, but still, took me a while, I have to say. But as a result I decided to get rid of the ying/yang-like stripes near the eyes that I originally put there for some added sharpness and to accentuate the eyeliner. I realised I kept forgetting them, positioning them is a pain in the neck (literally), they only ever serve their design purpose in certain eyelid positions, and unlike the scars they don't serve a narrative purpose, so I scrapped them.
