This is an example of what I would consider a very basic ref sheet: Front view + back view in flat colors using a fairly neutral pose, dressed in "small clothes" or as a genital-less nude, with hex codes / color palette. Flat colors are handy for refs, imo, since then you're not having the colors impacted by shading, resulting in inaccurate sampling.
I'm willing to draw them as full nudes but people who want the D never seem to just want a flaccid member chillin' in the pic. They want it in at least 2 states, usually with a close-up - so I treat it as an add-on. I've never had anyone ask for V close ups. In the spirit of fairness I'd handle it the same.
