When you had Hunter go through Falkreath, I had wondered if she would meet Sinding, but then again, Hircine's ring would have no use for her anyhow. That epic dragon hunt was amazing to read, and much better than an I'll Met by Moonlight side quest.

I’d briefly considered having some sort of encounter with Sinding, but like you said, there wasnt anything Hunter would be compelled to get from it. Also, considering her personality, I didn’t see her taking either side of the’ Ill Met by Moonlight’ quest in a way that made sense (unless the other hunters happened to attack her first and she reacted in self-defence, but that felt predictable, and like she would be reduced to an inactive participant to her own story). At least with fighting the dragon, she gets a chance to earn a favor to help someone in need, and the dragons are vocally out for blood, so she has a motive to prevent that, even if she hates dealing with the aftermath.

Originally, Id even thought about making the dragon hunt Hircine’s Blood Moon event, but... well I just didnt know if it would’ve been of value to the story or not. Would’ve definitely made for some cool visuals to draw though :>
