54-year-old Shohei, who hails from Sendai, first joined the IAWF at 30, being one of the many newcomers who signed on the year after the league's founding. Known by the stagename "Ryugami" and specializing in a mix of wrestling and judo, he was a highly popular member of the league's early roster, which of course meant many fans were quite sad when, at 45, Shohei decided to go on hiatus. Thanking everyone for making his 15-year career so wonderful, he promised it wasn't a full retirement, as he'd still be touring around, acting as a colour commentator and even making public appearances, and he added that he might jump back into the action someday if he ever felt like it. 9 years later, he's announced his official return to the ring, and for a very specific reason... For the past two years, he's watched the rise of one Yui Dojima and grown VERY attracted to her. Now he's intent on making the young dragoness his wife and having children with her! He has experience as both a husband and father, with now-adult kids from a previous marriage that mutually ended some time ago, and he's even still on good terms with his ex-wife, who's rooting for him to find love again--now the only roadblock is Yui herself. She seems interested in him, but she won't say yes until he earns it, giving him quite the motivation to rise back to his full greatness and then soar even further!
