Beardsley’s history is one of misfortune - so he wants to be kind but is critical to a fault. This is mentioned because its why he is such a good friend to Dudley. They both keep eachother in check - Dudley’s kinder personality helps Beardsley be more this way and Beardsley analytical side helps Dud’s understand how to present himself when in the presence of other people how rare that might be.

Beardsley’s rugged family helped him understand the value of an EDC bag but he too finds the amount of items in Reede’s pack a bit too much. Who needs that many dental picks any ways? It’s not like how I’ve only used 3 since I bought it months ago..
