So for my birthday today, my wonderful wolf brings me a tiny little box with a soft flannel fold of fabric inside... And upon opening the flannel I find a beautiful silver rope chain, upon which hangs a silver cross with the Chi-Ro christogram on it, as well as some vines. I had fallen in love when I'd seen this pendant in a James Avery magazine just after I'd seen "Secret of Kells" for the first time.

It's mine now, and hangs around my neck and dangles just above my heart. It's warm against my skin and just feels right, as I knew it would. I'd been searching many years to find a symbol of my faith that felt right to wear, and though many were pretty, they just didn't speak to me like this one does. Coming from a Celtic background, the Celtic styles of cross always appealed to me, but none like this.
