A photograph of a fanart piece for Vicky Wyman's Xanadu that I'm getting around to uploading because I finally have a camera that can take a somewhat decent picture of it (the original is 16" x 20" and way too big for my scanner). This was one of my first forays into colored pencils as there was no class actually taught for them and I was actually adapting color lessons I was learning in other classes like watercolor (totally not the same thing and I didn't actually get that until working on my Rocketeer piece for actual art school). This was done right around the same time as the Company of Thieves piece so that makes it around 21 years old too. Oh, I could do waaay better on this now though I'd still be guessing at some of the color schemes for some of the characters and the background. I tried to make the best use of the color covers and the Xanadu Color Special I had at the time but they only had so much info and characters like poor Harold the pegasus were never featured in color at all. I still like some things about this but the size relationships amongst some characters isn't one of them. I tried my best to feature as many of the major players and a couple of the minor ones as I could. Characters and Xanadu © Vicky Wyman.
EDIT:
foxystallion has taken the original photo file and optimized it for MUCH better and much more true color to the original piece as well as getting rid of that annoying glare that was on the left hand side of the picture. Thanks Foxystallion!

And thank you for the offer. I have a limited version of photoshop though I'm not sure it's loaded on this computer right now and I have Paint Shop Pro 7 too. I've never been terribly successful at doing levels on photographs though. I'm much better with scans of original artwork.
