When I was living in Mexico one evening I've found on the kitchen hummingbird who was sitting on the window's net. It wasn't rare thing since my ex's Mom had a lot of feeders hanging around the house, so occasional hummingbirds flying inside weren't rare. Usually in such cases we were putting birds in the safe place and releasing in morning. It was different this time: in morning I've found out that bird's wing was damaged (probably by some raptor) and it can't fly.
It couldn't be released, so I was taking care about bird and trying to find rehabilitation center that was accepting hummingbirds. I failed, so it ended up living with me. You can see some of this bird here: https://t.me/mexiceberg/1189?single
Ex's Mom called it Cierile because of blueish hat.
Remembered my little friend and decided to paint. This bird already passed away, sadly, but it always will be in my heart.
