Greta is a new character of mine, she's from the Tyrol region and is a rather golden Brown Swiss cow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_Swiss - breed info here.

The hoops through her left ear and the ring dangling between them indicate she is married and that her husband is propserous enough to support a family. The hoops through her right ear indicate she and her husband are trying for a calf. When she gets pregnant a chain will be suspended between the hoops and rings will be added as the family grows.

The main reason this was done was because I've not done any digital work for a few weeks and I liked the sketch.
