This book completes the trilogy about Chakona, its inhabitants, the interaction of the chakats with some humans, skunktaurs and other races, such as the renzar and the rakshanis. All framed within the universe created by  Goldfur It's been almost two years of continuous work and it's fair to mention such important people  sethtriggs  Marksan  Wolfbane115 and all the people from Tales de Chakona Discord for fans.

CHAPTER 65


After entering the old building that housed the orphanage, Ugkar gradually revived some passages from hys childhood and adolescence. Hy also remembered the volunteer chakats who took care of hym and other orphans back then. Looking at the inner courtyards, they both saw how other children ran from one place to another, playing and jumping happily.
"Can I help you with something?" Suddenly said a golden-furred and tattered-haired chakat approaching them. Ugkar and Esteban were surprised.
“Eh… My friend only wanted to come here, because hy grew up in this orphanage” Esteban answered hurriedly.
"Oh! Is seriously? You, a Stellar Federation official, were raised in this orphanage?” Inquired of the chakat with wide eyes.
"Eh... Yes... It was more than 35 years ago that I left here" Ugkar replied without taking hys eyes off the place.
“Oh wow… It's wonderful that one of our interns has finally made it into Starfleet. I am very happy for you Shir…”
"Ugkar Skunktaur is my name" the lieutenant hastened to answer.
"I am Chakat Navil"
“I am Esteban Sivem. Nice to meet you Navil.” Said in turn, Esteban waving by hand.
"Prrr... Do you want to tour the orphanage?" Navil asked wagging hir tail.
"No... Thanks Shir... It's not necessary" Ugkar said with some discomfort.
"Oh, it's fine. No problem. You can visit us whenever you wants Shir Ugkar” the chakat kindly replied. Esteban looked suddenly at a skunktaur boy running after a ball in the inner courtyard. And he inadvertently thought aloud.
“If Vroeg had known before that you existed and that you were here, so close to hym! It's ironic that hy regained hys memory of hym so late in hys life."
"Did you say Vroeg?" Suddenly said the chakat looking at Esteban curiously.
"Yes... Vroeg was the mother of Ugkar" The boy replied.
"I remember that name" added the chakat suddenly. Ugkar and Esteban looked at each other in surprise.
"What do you mean Shir?" The skunk said curiously. Navil began to move back and forth, poking at hir thoughts. After a few moments, shi declared.
"Wait here, please. I'll be right back." To then disappear behind one of the corridors. Ugkar and Esteban looked at each other confused, not knowing what to think.

On the other side of town, Natany and Rhealle were finishing their weekend shift. Leaving the police station, they both headed to the subway station.
“What will you do now Natany. Will you practice Khudok?”
"No. I want to distract myself. Maybe I'll go to Regthar's house and stay with them these days” replied the brown Renzar.
“I see you a little down, Natany. You're still hurting about Tagle, aren't you? We are all very sorry. But did you know what Manet did to that wretch before they took hym away?” Rhealle said.
“Yeah… I would have beaten hym worse than hy was. If it wasn't for those stupids federal policies, Faise would have been tried in Chakona."
"It's true. But there was also no way to keep people safe from that monster here. Perhaps it was better that they kept hym away from Chakona forever.” Sentenced the spotted fur Renzar. At that moment, looking across the street, Rhealle saw Gerak-Nee leaning against a bench.
"Wow, it seems that after all, you do have an outlook for today," She said, closing an aye to Natany.
"What do you mean?"
“Look ahead. See you later. Have fun!" Rhealle replied before descending to the subway train. Looking up, Natany saw the Rakshani approaching her, grinning from ear to ear.
“Gerak! What are you doing here?"
"Well. Today is the weekend and I don't work. And I was wondering if you wanted to spend the afternoon with me.”
“Uh… Well I…”
“Natany, if you don't want to, that's fine. I will go. Don't worry,” Gerak said.
"No. Stay. I do wish to be with you Gerak.” Natany suddenly said taking his prosthetic arm.
"So, what do you propose?" inquired the Feline.
"I want to go to the beach. Do you think it's OK?" The Renzar replied.
"That seems perfect to me!" The Rakshani said wagging his tail.

After a few minutes of waiting, Chakat Navil returned with an envelope in hand. Approaching Ugkar, shi said.


“Three years ago, a skunktaur named Vroeg came here and brought this. I was on duty that day and I remember it very well. Hy looked a lot like you, but hy was an old skunk. Hy looked very tired. Hy said that this was a message for hys son. I asked hym who hy was referring to. And hy told me that hy didn't know exactly. But that ever, hy had been here. Hy told me to keep it in case hys son came back. At that time, I didn't make sense of hys words, but anyway, I received the envelope and kept it. Hy was an old skunk and I played along, out of respect for hym. But now that you mentioned hym, I understand that it all made sense!"
Esteban, stunned, took the envelope in his hands. On the envelope, Its could clearly read the phrase:
“From Vroeg Skunktaur for my son.” Followed by the date. Day 8 week 116, from Chakona.” The human couldn't believe it. The envelope was identical to the one Vroeg had left for himself and Lilethe. Esteban looked at Ugkar with tears in his eyes. The surprised skunk didn't know what to say.
“This is the same date that Vroeg… Hy died on the beach… That day, I remember that hy was later than usual for our appointment. It was my last day at Amistad, because that same afternoon my plane to the Archipelago was leaving… And now I know that Vroeg was late because hy came here first, to leave this message. This message to you, Ugkar!"
The lieutenant was speechless with shock. Hy wasn't sure what was going on and hys mind was almost blank.
"For me?" Hy stammered awkwardly. "But, hy didn't know who I was!"
“Hy didn't know who you were, but hy did know you existed. And somehow, hy found out that you were once an intern here… Oh Vroeg!” Said Esteban with emotion, and then added.
"Yes brother. This envelope is for you, just as hy left one for each member of the family. Even for me. Take it” he insisted. When Ugkar received it, Esteban hugged Navil. The chakat, sensing the boy's emotions, hugged him back.
"It seems that something powerful has happened here," the chakat said.
"More than you imagine" Esteban replied.
Ugkar looked at the envelope and then at Esteban, but couldn't manage to do anything. The human, seeing the skunk hesitate, pointed.
“Hey, it's a personal message. You don't need to read it here. You can take it to Vika and read it with Aldorah” Esteban said, wiping away his tears. Ugkar, without knowing why, hugged Esteban again, and then murmured.
"This is another of the things that I will tell Aldorah when I return."

At the Renzar's, Lilethe and Doren chatted quietly in their room while Sorah and Regthar prepared to go out.
"Lilethe, I'm so glad you're back." Doren said, as he held Hajo in hys hands.
“Doren. I know very well why you sneaked in to help Regthar."
"Uh? What do you mean, Lilethe?"
"You still feel guilty about what happened in Berdoovia, right?"
"Well... I..."
“Doren. What you did was very risky! I would never have forgiven myself if something bad had happened to you."
"Lilethe, I... The last time we spoke, before I returned to my parents, you told me..."
“I know what I told you. And I can assure you that that was not me, Doren. Faise was still in my head and I was still under hys influence. You have no idea how powerful hy was.”
“I know Lilethe. I fought hym. Don't forget… Then you…”
“Doren, forgiveness comes from the heart. Not from the head. And I, I forgave you a long time ago. You and Ugkar. There is nothing more to say” Lilethe said with a smile. Then both skunks merged into a warm hug and an effusive kiss on the lips. At that moment, Regthar peeked through the door of the room, surprising them both.
“Oops! Sorry girls… Sorah and I are going to the beach. The day is very good. We'll take Hajo. Why don't you come with us? I'll call Esteban to meet us there. What do you think?"
Lilethe and Doren looked at each other and smiled.
"Of course! Ever since I got out of the hospital, I feel like stretching my paws in the sand,” Lilethe said enthusiastically.
“Grrr! Very good. Get ready and we'll leave right away” Renzar said, before going to prepare the PTV. Meanwhile, Doren and Lilethe searched for their best beach outfits.

At the Amistad airport, several minutes ago the plane from Bonifacio had descended. Through the entrance portico, the passengers descended without problems. Among them, the family of Jhonny and Vera. They all hugged each other warmly in the large central corridor of the airport.
"Mom Dad. Welcome!" Vera said with emotion, greeting her parents and Jhonny's parents.
"Wow, this airport is so big!" Sonia said, admired by the immensity of the place.
"You'll be surprised by the things that are in the city mom" Jhonny said hugging them both.
Then, all together they went to stay at the Civitas Grand Resort, located in front of the sea. The same hotel where Esteban had stayed when he arrived to Chakona.

After leaving the orphanage building, Ugkar and Esteban stayed together for a while longer. But the skunk had to soon board the space cruiser that would take hym back to Vika-B.
“Now I will teleport to the Archipelago to say goodbye to Rogar. My trip to Vika will be in a few more hours. Esteban, all this has been so strange for me... But... so comforting at the same time. Being with you, Rena, Aunt Rogar, Lilethe and Doren, has filled me with joy... I don't know how to explain it. I can only say, thank you, boy."
“Ugkar. I will never forget what you did for Lilethe. Hy and I owe you our lives." Esteban answered.
“And I owe it to you, brother. Honestly… It saddens me more than the first time, leaving them. Because I feel that by coming to terms with my past, my bonds with all of you have become stronger.” Ugkar said with emotion in hys voice.

Both remained together, facing each other, on the sidewalk of that street in Amistad. Ugkar looked at Esteban's eyes with emotion. And almost without realizing it, hy gave the boy a spontaneous and affectionate kiss on the lips. The human was pleasantly surprised, feeling for the first time, the taste of Ugkar's mouth. The skunk continued to kiss him with more and more impetus, until suddenly, hys body unexpectedly began to undergo a phase change. Little by little, and in the middle of the discomfort of the modification of hys anatomy, Ugkar continued to kiss Esteban without stopping. The human replied, becoming more and more excited. "You're wrong. I love her, but between us there is no pact." Answered the skunk, looking into his eyes. After a few moments, Esteban hugged hym again with intensity.
“I love you as much, Ugkar, as much as I loved Vroeg. I am forever grateful to have met you both."
“Esteban…”
"You'd better go. Aunt Rogar is waiting for you. And Aldorah too. Give my regards when you get to Vika please.”
Ugkar, overcome with emotion, declared:
"I want everyone to come visit me, when Vika is ready to receive settlers."
"We will do it." Said the human. Then the lieutenant took a few steps back and touched the insignia on hys uniform. In a few moments, a whitish glow enveloped hys body and then disappeared from the place. Esteban, entranced by the experience, sighed deeply. He then headed to the nearest subway station with a smile on his lips.
At that moment, his PADD rang.
"Esteban, son!"
"Hello Dad!"
“We are all on the beach in front of the Civitas hotel. Lilethe brought a bathing suit for you. Come soon, so we can spend a pleasant afternoon with the family! Tell Ugkar to come"
"That sounds great. But I'm afraid Ugkar had to go. I'll be there right away. Don't start the fun without me!"
“Grrr… Hurry up then, boy. And by Grom, please be careful!" Regthar said on the other end before cutting the communication.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine. See you!" Engineer finished, heading to the subway station.
