I like the regular outlines.

Colored outlines work best with a thick outline styles, otherwise it's hard to appreciate the colors in the line fill/knockout.

Without the lines, they look - well, a bit faded, like pastels.

But at least they aren't ponies any more.

I've been fooling around with getting rid of outlines, but then adding in a few where things look too soft. Outlines are really only used because of printing, and also that we're used to seeing cartoons like that, because they were needed for cel animation and the Sunday comics.

It takes more time to work without or with limited outlines because you still want your characters to pop. This means very careful color choices, and more often than not, lots of experiments.

They look best to me without outlines. They fit into the picture more naturally that way in my opinion.

i've seen some that do black outlines for everything, and also some that do the outline in the color that u fill it in with, and have a light grey for the outline of white...

I think a mix of all three would be neat.

no outlines= more realistic

Blue ones= looks ok

normal outlines= looks more professional
