Dungeon Crawl: A Sticky Situation (by yoshitoki92)

Man, it's dark in here. The dinky little torches lining the halls can only do so much. Can't ancient dungeon ruins install a skylight or something? Maybe those cool glowy magic stone holders I've seen in those huge artsy-fartsy magic libraries?
Maybe if I could see where I was going, I wouldn't have stepped right off a ledge and tumbled down an almost comically long shaft directly into what can only be described as an ocean of viscous ooze.
Seriously, a riddle to open the door, gobbos and skellys at the entrance, and now sllime. It's like someone pieced together this dungeon with a "My First Evil Lair" kit.
Still, shouldn't be too big a problem. I could force open an iron portcullis, a bit of thick ooze shouldn't be too big a problem. Of course, the portcullis didn't really fight back. The portcullis didn't sprout slimy tendrils to pull away my sword and shield, wrap around my limbs, and try to drag me down beneath it. The portcullis wouldn't try smothering me underneath the surface, depriving me of precious oxygen, making it even harder to get on by.
But I must wade through the muck. The other side must be close, right?
