I can't remember if Atilla was already in an arranged marriage, or if it was something that developed in-game. But Atilla wasn't going to let Veris go unchained for a mere wedding (the irony is that Veris could have probably freed herself in a trice, had she been so inclined).

The marriage never happened; I just liked the idea of Atilla in a wedding dress & Veris in a gawd-awful maid-of-honor frock with overdone makeup.
