Rhapsody is an odd individual. She hails from a planet a few light years away which is, supposedly, mainly swampy marshes with extremely deep waterways, oceans and lakes in which her amphibious species made their cities. Their atmosphere is heavy with humidity, roughly 80% at least, and rains are highly common.

She was one of their planet's greatest protectors, and was banished when she failed to save one of their largest cities from being destroyed by a war like neighboring race, the Qularr, attacked. She traveled alone for years in lonely, brooding depression until she crash-landed on Earth. She was readily accepted by humanity, as humanoid entities are commonplace, usually as superheroes.
She was seen to by scientists when she was unable to leave the freshwater lakes she crashed in, her lungs unable to process our relatively arid air, and her scarf was created. It filters the oxygen she breathes, somehow making it more humid, and allows her to breathe even in deserts. She wears a thin, membranous bodysuit which is completely transparent except for her breasts and crotch; yet is undetectable unless seen close-up. She made friends with members of the world's super-humans, and has joined their team, the Breakers, to defend humanity. She's immensely strong, able to lift city buses and rip signs and trees from concrete or earth; and can swim at superhuman speed thanks to her heritage, and is highly resistant to pain; but even she can be knocked out if given too much punishment.
