Delta and Jonas might not be related by blood, but since they've spent a lot of their lives growing up in the laboratory with each other, they're practically siblings! Since Delta was the first test subject and Jonas was the last, they're very close; Delta doesn't have a family, being the only one of her kind, so she treats Jonas and every other test subject like they're her younger siblings. Even Iota, who's seven feet taller than her.
