I recently decided to give Fortnite a try and have been having alot of fun ( gg Zero-Build )
I imagined that Abyssal would have very distinct feelings towards the game so I decided to
come up with a comic about it. After showing Abyssal the Storyboard I drew, he was quite impressed
by its accuracy and I decided to move forward with much gleeful anticipation :3

I consider myself really bad when it comes to partnering up, but it wouldn't hurt I suppose, at least for the sake of perhaps helping each other out with things like the Reboot Rally Duo Content and things like that. Otherwise I tend to typically play solo. do my quests and then take a chill
Eh, that's debatable, battle royales in general are overhyped to no end, and the easily amused forget the fact that this game type (that the game devs lazily just ripped out of a complete multiplayer game and sold it as a "whole game"...) existed since Quake. It's just a free for all with limited lives.
Overhyped doesn't make them bad. They're still enjoyed by many.
Also game ideas are taken from one another all the time, it's not a bad thing as long as the principles behind them are improved upon or given substantial enough twists and differences. And on top of that Fortnite wasn't sold to anyone, it's a free to enjoy game. And you say "Free For all with limited lives" as if that's a bad thing? It's fun, that's what matters.
If you don't enjoy that kind of gameplay, then hey different games for different people. I don't enjoy RTS style games, that doesn't make them cringe to me.

My point is that everyone is trying to act like battle royales are the second coming of Christ when they are not, and every moronic game dev hamfists it into their game so they can be the next big thing which in turn just ruins the multiplayer angle of the game for everyone, since it will focus on stripping away things that they will put in the online store or drop feed content with overpriced battle passes.

I've never seen anyone really praising Battle Royales to the degree you mention, but I won't doubt that there are some folks like that.
I do agree though alot of developers tried to hamfist Battle Royales into alot of their multiplayer games and that was no bueno. It's fine if it's an additional mode for people to enjoy. But to center the whole game around it and ignore other modes is kind of a disservice to your userbase especially when you're dealing with an ongoing series.
