I'm currently learning drumset and looking into learning snare. But I personally have never marched. I wish I did but I learned about the activity way too late.
My partner did both drum corps and indoor percussion until 2022. He currently teaches front ensemble for open class drum corps + indoor perc. and some high schools here and there :)
but im super invested haha

That's awesome! I taught a little bit of highschool for a little while! Good luck with the learning, marching drums is a blast! I unfortunately am having to opt-out of my last seasons in WGI due to money, but it's still great to just drum along at home.
