This afternoon, mabarial got in contact with both me and strawberryneko to ask permission to color this sketch commission I bought from Neko. Neko gave her permission, and of course I said she could, and this is what she did. She did an absolutely beautiful job with everything and she went to an incredible amount of effort to get the colors just right for both of my girls. I simply love it!

What can one say? The original line art was fantastic all by itself and now colored like this it's even better. Both strawberryneko and mabarial did great work bringing this sweet moment to life.
I always love the tenderness Niamh and Ciara show towards each other. When they aren't playing the 'poor defenseless bunny attacked by the ferocious fox' game that is.

They really did. I love both versions to bits and I think that mabarial's coloring really does a good job of complimenting strawberryneko's linework. I was very happy that Neko gave her permission for this to be colored, and that Mabarial made the offer. It was a total surprise to me, but a very pleasant one indeed.
Oh, I've always loved sweet little moments like this and I can never resist letting my girls have their share of them. *Grins* They've got to catch their breaths after those games of fox and rabbit, you know!

Yeah, in the black and white version her pendant is kind of easy to miss if you don't know it's there. But it's something I asked for, if it could be done, so I was really glad that Neko included it. I'm really happy with how she did Ciara's markings, too. And Niamh's, too, especially on her fingers and hands.

That's so nicely done, and I absolutely agree with you that it's a lovely, sweet picture. The two of them fit so well together -- both literally and emotionally, I mean! The colouring is wonderful, and it's a very well accomplished kiss, too. (I mean by the artist!) Not something you always see depicted so well.

You really don't see a lot of kissing in furry art, that's true. I think it's something that a lot of artists do find rather tricky to accomplish, especially when so many species have such differently shaped muzzles. But I thought she did a fantastic job with this one, and it's easily one of my favorites of my girls. The coloring job is wonderfully done, too, and I was so surprised when mabarial asked to do it. But pleasantly so, of course! This picture captures their colors about as accurately as any in my collection.
