Just working on a commission: I coloured the whole thing in markers first, and then I started colouring over it with pencil crayons (coloured pencils, whatever you want to call them).
To show a bit of difference of the two as I'm working on it, I was colouring the sky - the sky on the left is just the flat marker colours. The sky on the right (just on the other side of the trees), were coloured over with pencils, as well as having more colours added for the sky as I was colouring with the pencils :)
Since this photo, I've completed the sky, but I just wanted to post the work-in-progress, cuz I thought it looked cool to see the two side-by-side :)

When I'm using pencils, I usually like colouring the base-colours with markers first, just so that I can get the "white" out of the bristol board, and to make the colours pop out and look more solid :)
As for the furmeet, I probably won't be going :( I've got two conventions coming up in June, and I've got some art that I need to get done for that, as well as start taking pre-orders and other commissions before that time too O.o What few weekends that I'm not doing anything on, I just like to rest and relax at home :)
