Some explanations:
Kink vs Non-Kink: My interest in inflation has always been from the "cartoony fun" point of view. I just find it to be a funny scenario, with lots of potential for various shenanigans.
Males vs Females: Like I said on my chonk chart, I find female characters to be more appealing in art from an aesthetic point of view. Curves just look nicer. Although inflation tends to feminize the body shape at first before giving way to one big, round orb.
Taut: Inflation's the result of internal pressure. Beyond small sizes I kinda find it hard to see how a soft inflated body could even work. I guess liquids slosh around more, but at the same time you can't compress a liquid.
Intact vs Popping: just to comment, one thing I kinda wish there was more of is non-lethal popping where the subject ends up as living scraps.
