Having rebelled against the vile criminals who subjugated her town, ushered in progressive change to her home, and having earned the title of “leader”; you would think that Relena would be a bit more easygoing when it comes to life now that all the danger is gone right, right?! Wishful thinking doesn’t faze this lioness! As the leader of the Leastra Citadel and the only one who was brave and rebellious enough to defy the oppression by her captors, Relena’s only desire aside from restoring order, was to ensure that her town would never again be subject to the nightmare that she once called life. As such, Relena wanted to fortify and strengthen her town, by creating a defensive force using those who saw fit to protect their home from invaders. Due to this being the end goal for Relena, she wants those who protect the town to form an iron defense, and as such doesn’t tolerate those she deems as “weak links”: those who slack on their duties or do not wish to put in the necessary effort needed to be a stalwart part of her forces. This isn’t to say that Relena is unforgiving when it comes to training or leading those under her guidance as she can be forgiving, lenient, and kinder towards those who genuinely try to improve or perfect their skills. However, if she senses someone isn’t trying or half-assing the training, then she can be stricter and more forceful with them, both in an effort to either get them to improve or take her training seriously; or as a way to weed out those who are unfit for being a part of her forces so that her time and effort isn’t further wasted. While yelling or scolding is a clear indication of Relena’s disapproval or frustration, her facial expression can clearly convey her disapproval with her look being a clear embodiment of “completely unamused”, “are you serious”, “is that the best you can do”, or the more common “stop wasting my time”. So, if you’re not giving your all when you’re a part of Relena’s forces, she will be sure to let you know!
