Original description: Well, I've already got a Forsaken sketch series going where I draw sketches of all 17 of the Forsaken Jetbikers plus 7 new ones. But why don't I try out sketching some Jet Set Radio Future characters too? Eagerly, I did just that! Starting with one of my favourite characters in JSRF, the one who captures the spirit of early and mid 2000s graffiti the best, Corn!
Corn is the leader of the Graffiti Gang, commonly referred to as the GGs, in Jet Set Radio Future. He is described as a "self styled genius" but like the other taggers he never gets any more lore or character development. I am overjoyed about how this rendition of Corn (Or Cone as he's called in Japan) came out. The rough-looking sketched out style is very similar to the very few pieces of SEGA produced JSRF art we have and I now realise what a massive mistake I made cleaning up the lines in my previous drawings and making them less JSRF like as a result. Overall, this nice little image of the leader of the Graffiti Gang has come out looking right on!
Hey, I remember being really proud of this one when I first drew it! The hands are a little off, but that's ok! I'll just draw more sketches of the JSRF characters on Newgrounds. I do admit that Corn's got a real 2000s style for a video game character. I just wish we still had that kind of quality when it came to video games.
