Oh lord, I've been infected: Rozga and I have started watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and now we're jumping on the bandwagon like it was the last train out of town.
I had intended to make the body grey with the mane and tail as you see it, but the "grey" I ended up picking turned out to be more.....behemoth purple. But it looks pretty cool like that. More interesting and it fits the MLP style. The mane and tail came out exactly how I'd pictured it, it's skunky without being a skunktail.
The reason behind the cutie mark: Originally what popped to mind was an NES controller, but there's more to me than just gaming. No really, stay with me on this one. I then pondered an air force star, but I used that idea on the sparkle dog that Rozga did...even though she totally left it off. So I started thinking about the things I'm interested in, my hobbies, my desires, my wasted income. The overall theme: fun. So how to represent that? After a bit more thought I came upon the generic Lego brick (which JPEG compression chewed up and spat out) as the general representation of fun. It's an international icon, even people who don't play with Legos recognize a building block, it's an addiction I'm known for, and it stands out on my purple flank.
I took this way too seriously, and I don't regret it.
Pinkie Pie is my anti-drug.
