So I didn't want to mention it until things were well under way.
Atraties and I are not just moving...we're gonna be first-time homeowners.
I can't believe it. His parents helped us with the down payment and we'll be on our way to building equity in the place. It's different looking from the outside but believe me, this place is wonderful, awesome, perfect...It's 3 bedroom, one bathroom and the entire top floor is the master bedroom. It even has a mudroom! I'll post my favorite pic of the interior.
It's absolute best feature is a "four car garage" which might be better termed a barn. it's almost as big as the house itself. The entire top floor was designed to be a studio, and has massive picture windows that light it up as good as day from the south side. It couldn't be more perfect. <3
One of the most unfortunate things about it is the town name: Cummington. It's the place where the mineral "Cummingtonite" was discovered. No, I'm not making that up....you can even wikipedia it.
The move-in date is set for May 20th.

Thanks! Good luck! I thought it was years away for us. Granted, we had sheer, dumb luck and generosity. The house we got was inexpensive for MA, about half of the normal. It helps to look into areas that are a little less desirable, in this case it was in the middle of fucking nowhere, in the mountains, in the woods. At least it has DSL capabilities, unlike most of the hilltowns which are still on dial-up o.o
