Niamh and Ciara doing what they do best, turning all cute and mushy on us. These two girls have been through an awful lot since I first imagined them. They've suffered through war and pain and I'm not through tormenting them yet. It's just as well a writer's characters aren't aware of her or goodness knows how big a mess these poor girls would be. Still, in spite of everything they've endured they've seen each other through it all and come out of it all as not simply lovers but the best of friends. In the end, they're as much a part of each other as they are a part of me.
Niamh is properly pudgy in this picture, too. People tend to lean more toward thin and sexy when drawing her, and I certainly can't complain about that, but this is how I've always imagined her. Ciara's breasts are the right size, too. I've always been a bit shy of insisting she be drawn with small breasts, because I was afraid people would get the wrong idea. But since she's a swift fox, and therefore, genetically, a sprinter, I wanted her to have as little body fat as possible.

I'm so glad you think so. More than just about anything else I've always wanted to preserve at least a measure of sweetness with these girls. I was rather more innocent when I created them and, to me, they still embody that youthful hope we all have. It's good to know something of that still shows through.
Oh it really is. I absolutely love this little picture of them. It really captures the romance between them so well. Winter has kind of come back a bit for me this weekend, but earlier this week it was very pleasant and perfectly suited to a picture like this. Aw, but don't worry too much about keeping to every single detail when you draw Miss Niamh yourself. Every one of the pictures you've done of her have been just beautiful, too, and nothing I've said here was meant as a criticism of any of the art I've gotten of her in the least. I was just pleased because this picture did what I wanted, which was to show that love is blind and doesn't care about what you look like, or where you came from. That has always been one of the underlying themes of their relationship, after all.

You're right, too, that it's always good to know more happy fox and rabbit couples. Though I think you and your foxy are cuter.

Nope, it was there all right. I just get a little behind checking my submissions and always start with the newest first.
And all I can say to your last comment is that's a very sweet thing to say (you ALWAYS say the sweetest things of anyone) but I think you are mistaken. Perhaps it's just a matter of perception, because I see Ciara and Niamh as the cuter couple. Doesn't really matter either way though. It's ALL good!!

Aw, I'm so glad you think so. Though your comments are always very sweet, too and they do make me happy. *Grins* Maybe it is down to perception, at that. All I know is you can't go wrong with foxes or rabbits, and there's some awfully cute art in your gallery. So you're absolutely right. It's all good.
