Well thank you! Those in the picture are power aids too! When she took them out of the box I was pissed because I though they had ordered the wrong size! Ha ha! The thin tube thing is something odd for me, but they seem to function just fine with them. How old are yours? Isn't forking out a couple thousand dollars every five years just great? :D
My hearing loss is very minor, and this is still my first pair! I've had them for about 3.5 years, and they don't seem to be breaking down yet, lol. I've only ever had the thin tube-kind, but my dad used the 'old' ones you put directly into your ears for a long time; they don't seem very comfy. 8c
Oh yeah, plus the in the ear ones make you sound like you're talking in a barrel apparently, lol. I have a moderate to moderately severe reverse slope loss in both ears. I don't like the like, domes or slim tips that most of the aids for lesser losses come with, like, the little plastic part that goes right into your ear. Owchies, do not want. Can't really have them though, so it works out. Lol.
