Just gonna copy-paste what I wrote once.

CC, better known as “the Cleanup Crew” is a Gremlin that few know of, and only those that encounter it can remember it. A ‘successful’ byproduct of Whisper research, CC is a more solid hybridization of Swarm and Gremlin. He does not speak, and acts with disjointed mannerisms and body language until ‘engaged’. Used as a bio-weapon by the Crimson Order and above, CC has no real ‘personality’ and acts on instinct or instruction.
Curiously, despite being Swarm, CC does not induce the typical traumatic fear that usually accompanies Swarm activity like Congregate does– this is likely as Congregate is Swarm possessing a corpse as opposed to a manufactured Swarm / Gremlin hybrid. His large and imposing stature, however, may still be frightening to most. CC’s name is brought about by the question of him doing the work of a whole cleanup crew, or if he’s one of multiple hybrids already made. Whichever it is, there is no trace of their targets ever seen again.

His true face is always obfuscated in Swarm.

It helps he's also extremely tall for a Gremlin.
