For an assignment we were asked to paint from an pre-existing image using a limited pallet and I thought it would be fun to attempt to color a Paul Kidby line art piece.
I'm quite inexperienced with acrylic paint, so I'm going to try and pressure myself to continue to practice when I've got the opportunity.

I tend to agree that Paul Kidby designs better represent the world that Pratchett writes. For what it's worth though, I'd defend Josh Kirby artwork as being a competent and energetic, and certainly fun to look at for his use of detail alone. They just dont capture the general tone and down-to-earth realism of the books like Kidbys.
