It would appear that he has been working on this "wing project" for at least some time now, planning, drawing, trying to figure out a way for it to work - and didn't succeeded before.
And now, worked on it the entire day, and made it, just like that? Suddenly got "an idea", and figured out what was wrong and required being redone... and so he did it? I'm sensing someone's influence in this.~ Or not, idk, just get a feeling it might be the case.
